Panthers Are Signing A Familiar WR Prospect

The Carolina Panthers have dipped into familiar waters following the 2025 NFL Draft.

They recently signed a prospect whose name resonates deeply with the franchise’s faithful supporters.

Muhsin “Moose” Muhammad III, son of Panthers legend Muhsin Muhammad, has joined the team as an undrafted free agent.

NFL Network broke the news on Sunday, revealing the organization’s decision to bring aboard the young receiver with direct ties to one of its all-time greats.

The elder Muhammad established himself as one of the most productive receivers in team history, ranking second all-time in catches (696), receiving yards (9,255), and touchdowns (50).

His impact extended beyond statistics, earning two Pro Bowl selections and the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 1999.

At 6’1″ and nearly 200 pounds, the younger Muhammad possesses the physical attributes that made his father successful.

His combination of size, speed, and refined route-running creates an intriguing foundation for NFL development.

However, what teammates and coaches have consistently praised is his tireless work ethic—a quality that could ultimately determine his NFL trajectory.

Muhammad III’s collegiate career at Texas A&M featured notable peaks and valleys. His strongest campaign came in 2022 when he accumulated 610 yards and four touchdowns.

The following season proved challenging, as his production dipped to 345 yards and two scores while mysteriously finding himself with limited playing time.

Despite these inconsistencies, the Charlotte native now has an opportunity to forge his own legacy with his hometown team, looking to secure a roster spot as the Panthers build toward their 2025 campaign.
