Will Campbell Shows Off New Patriots Jersey

The New England Patriots’ first-round selection, Will Campbell, is embracing his professional journey with a familiar touch of comfort from his collegiate days.

The rookie offensive lineman will sport the No. 66 jersey in Foxborough, continuing the legacy he established during his standout career at Louisiana State University.

A touching moment unfolded recently when Campbell saw his official Patriots jersey for the first time.

The team’s social media captured the significance of this milestone, sharing the emotional reaction with fans online.

“The moment Will Campbell saw his Patriots jersey 66,” the Patriots shared.

The footage shows Campbell approaching his locker, where his nameplate and number boldly announce his arrival to the NFL ranks.

Upon opening the locker door and discovering his No. 66 jersey hanging inside, a smile spreads across his face.

Campbell proudly displayed the jersey to the camera, remarking, “It’s a good looking jersey.”

Campbell becomes the 18th player in the storied franchise’s history to don this number, joining a distinguished lineage that features Bryan Stork, Paul Fairchild, Lonnie Paxton, and James Ferentz among others.

The number was most recently worn by offensive guard Wes Schweitzer, but Campbell successfully negotiated to secure it.

This historical significance adds another layer to Campbell’s story, as he becomes the first top-10 tackle drafted by the Patriots since Karl Singer in 1966—a remarkable 58-year gap.
