Shedeur Sanders Spent $100K On Draft Chain

Shedeur Sanders’ slide down the board from a projected top-10 pick all the way to the fifth round to the Cleveland Browns was by far the biggest subplot of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The coverage of the draft featured plenty of analysts and media members stunned by Sanders’ fall and trying to figure out how and why it happened, while the quarterback spent three days waiting with friends and family for his name to be called.

One of the highlights of Sanders’ draft party was his chain, which reportedly cost more than $100,000, via Dov Kleiman on X.

That price tag would have been much more palatable had Sanders been drafted in the top 10 like he was expecting, as he is now projected to be on a contract with a total value of a little more than $4.5 million as a fifth-round pick as opposed to a deal that would have paid him ten times that amount.

It’s a beautiful chain, but this video will only serve as fodder to those who are looking for a reason to justify why Sanders fell so far.

The hope for Browns fans will be that it will be a humbling experience and a rude awakening for Sanders, who will be joining a quarterback room with fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel and veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, all of whom could be in the mix to start in 2025.
