The New York Yankees are at it again. By “it” we mean clubbing home runs at a ridiculous pace.
They opened Tuesday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles by hitting back-to-back-to-back home runs from Trent Grisham, Aaron Judge and Ben Rice.
If this sounds familiar to you, it is because it is the second time this season the Yankees have opened a game by hitting three consecutive home runs. They also did it in their second game of the season against the Milwaukee Brewers when they hit consecutive three home runs off former teammate Nestor Cortes.
According to the Yankees’ YES broadcast, they are the first team in Major League history to open a game with three consecutive home runs in multiple games in the same season.
Keep in mind, it is still only April.
