Who is the most underrated player in the NBA?
That is a question asked every season, and the answer changes often.
In 2024-25, many players have done incredibly well while not receiving the attention they deserve.
But according to Keith Smith, Ivica Zubac of the Los Angeles Clippers “might be” the most underrated basketball star in the league.
“Ivica Zubac is awesome. He might be the most underrated player in the league. Well, at least before this series. Feels like most have caught on now,” Smith wrote on X.

If people didn’t know about Zubac before, they definitely do now.
His Clippers have been drawing a lot of interest, especially during the playoffs.
During LA’s five games in the postseason, Zubac has averaged 20.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
For the regular season, he put up 16.8 points and 12.6 rebounds.
This was his seventh season with the Clippers, and he has seen a lot with the team, both good and bad.
The Clippers have changed drastically over the last few years, with multiple stars coming and going, but Zubac has been one of the most consistent parts of the roster.
He believes in this team and has become a crucial part of the roster.
The league is currently filled with explosive and unstoppable big men, and Zubac is making a name for himself as one of them.
He is currently battling against another sensational center as his Clippers are fighting Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the opening round of the playoffs.
But even when playing against Jokic and his Nuggets, Zubac is producing strong numbers and turning heads.
The spotlight is firmly set upon him, and he is delivering.
He might be underrated right now, but there is no doubt he’ll receive more praise and attention next season.
