The Los Angeles Chargers just got a legitimate RB1.
Omarion Hampton would’ve been the undisputed first running back off the board in most NFL Draft classes, and some believe he will have a better career than Ashton Jeanty once it’s all said and done.
Notably, it’s hard to disagree with that statement when you look at his latest clip.
As shown by Dov Kleiman on X, the UNC product boasts insane athleticism, strength, and ballerina-like footwork despite his massive frame.
Insane: Chargers rookie RB Omarion Hampton has some of the most impressive footwork you will ever see.

Jim Harbaugh has always deployed a run-heavy offense, and Hampton is the kind of true workhorse back who can thrive there.
The Chargers nabbed an absolute steal at No. 22, and with an improved offensive line anchored by second-year pro Joe Alt, he could be in for a huge debut season.
They also signed Najee Harris in the offseason, but given his underwhelming tenure with the Pittsburgh Steelers, it’s safe to assume that his role behind Hampton will be complementary, if not minimal.
Hampton rushed for 1,504 yards and 15 touchdowns for the Tar Heels in 2023, and he followed that by rushing for 1,660 yards and 15 touchdowns in his final season.
Despite being a 221-pound physical specimen, he ran a 4.46-second 40-yard dash.
He can also be a factor in the passing game, and Justin Herbert just got an absolutely stud of a weapon.
Ashton Jeanty was taken much higher than him, and that should be more than enough motivation for him to prove who the actual best running back in this class is.
