Alperen Sengun Joins Historic Playoff Company With Incredible Statline

Alperen Sengun of the Houston Rockets is enjoying his first run through the NBA playoffs, and he’s having quite an impact.

In fact, he has joined an elite, iconic company.

According to StatMuse, Sengun is one of two players in NBA history to average 20.0+ points, 10.0+ rebounds, 5.0+ assists, and 1.5+ steals per game in the playoffs.

The only other player to achieve that statline is Larry Bird.

So far, it’s been an average of 20.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game during his six playoff appearances.

This was Sengun’s fourth season in the league, but the first time his Rockets went all the way to the playoffs.

He has been waiting for this moment and wants to prove himself, just like the rest of his team.

They have definitely been proving a lot, and the Rockets will now face the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the opening round.

If they win, they will advance to the second round, taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

That means in the near future, Rockets fans might be able to see Sengun go toe-to-toe against Rudy Gobert, who has been named Defensive Player of the Year multiple times.

Sengun is doing things that only one other NBA star has, but he’s not content to stop now.

He isn’t aiming to just make history with his numbers; he wants to become a champion.

Some people say the Rockets are too young and too inexperienced to go all the way, but Sengun isn’t hearing that and is giving it 100 percent every single night.

He wants to be like Bird in more than just one way because he wishes to win multiple titles just like he did.
