Warriors’ Stephen Curry leaves Game 1 with strained left hamstring

Late in the second quarter, superstar Stephen Curry was ruled out by the Warriors for the remainder of Tuesday’s Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a strained left hamstring.

Earlier in the quarter, Curry grabbed at the back of his left leg after making a closeout on defence. He stayed in the game, but appeared in visible discomfort on the ensuing offensive possession.

He eventually asked head coach Steve Kerr to be subbed out of the game, headed straight to the locker room, and did not return.

Curry dropped 13 points in 12 minutes before his night was cut short.

Despite Curry’s exit, the Warriors were able to take a 44-31 lead into halftime thanks in large part to some hot shooting from Draymond Green.
