Panthers’ Rodrigues remains out for Game 6 vs. Maple Leafs

The Florida Panthers will be without a key forward as they seek their spot in the Eastern Conference Final.

Florida leads the second-round series 3-2 as it returns home.

Rodrigues also missed Game 5 after leaving the previous contest in the third period following a hit from Maple Leafs defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

He was replaced in Florida’s dominant Game 5 win by Jesper Boqvist, who scored the Panthers’ third goal in the 6-1 victory.

In nine playoff games, Rodrigues has registered three assists. He had 15 goals and 17 assists in 82 regular-season games.

Game 6 between the Panthers and Maple Leafs is scheduled for Friday at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, with live coverage available on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
