After a superb regular season and strong run through the playoffs, the Oklahoma City Thunder are going to the NBA Finals.
There are many reasons for their success, and the team is filled with great players.
But Jamal Crawford hopped on social media to deliver special praise to one person in particular: head coach Mark Daigneault.
“Will talk about SGA, will talk about the Thunder’s supporting stars, will talk about their defense. ( All for good reason) BUT a hidden thing in this, their coach is a SUPERSTAR on the sidelines. Much respect to coach Daigneault,” Crawford posted on X.

This was Daigneault’s fifth season with the Thunder and his most successful one yet.
When he first came to the team, he played the role of assistant coach, learning the ropes and figuring out how to lead.
Just one year later, he was the team’s head coach and has taken them on an upward trajectory.
His first season as head coach had the Thunder earn a 22-50 record, and this year, they ended with 68 wins and only 14 losses.
They have become a completely different team, and Daigneault has been consistent, strong-willed, and always trying to make himself and his players better.
Of course, he has gotten a lot of help from many people, including his roster of fantastic stars.
The front office has also given Daigneault big assists, accumulating a ton of draft picks and putting together a lineup that makes the rest of the league jealous.
Daigneault was tasked with turning this team into championship contenders when everyone said they were too young, too inexperienced, and didn’t have a chance.
Now they are just four wins away from bringing home the title.
