The Levanga Hokkaido reinforcement also recognized Thirdy Ravena, who won the same award a year ago.
“When Thirdy (Ravena) won it, he had an amazing career year and now Ray (Parks Jr.) did too with all his career-highs so I’m really happy for them,” said Ramos at the event presented by G-Shock Philippines. “For two years in a row, Filipinos won the award so you have to be proud of that.”

Parks Jr. kept the streak alive for Filipino winners after Ravena earned the plum with San-En Neophoenix in 2023.
When asked if he plans to chase the same honor, Ramos said his focus is on personal growth following his contract extension with Levanga.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a goal because I’m happy this year already after improving from what I did the year before. Every year I’m just trying to improve a little bit and when it’s all set.”
