The New York Knicks fought long and hard this season, and they got very banged up in the process.
In fact, one of their biggest stars suffered a few injuries that he is now tending to.
According to a new report from ESPN, Karl-Anthony Towns has addressed problems with his left knee and left finger.
“New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns has undergone treatment on his bruised left knee and to repair ligament damage on his left finger, both injuries suffered during the team’s playoff run, sources told ESPN,” Shelburne wrote. “Towns suffered the finger injury in Game 3 of the second round against the Boston Celtics and the knee injury in the Eastern Conference finals against the Indiana Pacers.”
Towns’ first season with the Knicks was a whirlwind, featuring some stellar performances and some disappointing moments during the playoffs.
Ultimately, the Knicks just didn’t have enough to get past the Indiana Pacers.
That was partly because Towns was nursing a couple of serious injuries that were slowing him down and preventing him from playing at 100 percent.
Hopefully, the treatment he is going through will fix all of that, and he can play to the best of his abilities in 2025-26.
However, there are questions about who he will play for.
Although he has only been with the Knicks for one season, there is speculation about him leaving in the summer.
That would be a drastic move from the Knicks, but they aren’t happy with how things turned out this season, and they are ready to adjust.
Plus, Towns would still fetch them a lot on the trade market.
This report from ESPN promises that no matter where Towns plays, he will be much healthier.
