Toronto Blue Jays prospect Trey Yesavage enjoyed another stellar start on the mound with the high-A Vancouver Canadians.

Yesavage recorded nine strikeouts over five innings to earn his first win with the team during Friday’s 10-1 victory over the Tri-City Dust Devils.

The 21-year-old right-hander from Pottstown, Penn., now leads the minor leagues with 88 strikeouts.

He gave up just one run, a homer in the fourth, and issued one walk during his latest outing.

Right-hander Gage Stanifer took over on the mound and pitched four shutout innings to secure his second save.

He got out to a hot start with the Canadians, striking out 10 batters during his debut on May 20 against the Eugene Emeralds.

The 20th overall pick in last summer’s draft racked up 55 strikeouts over seven starts and 33.1 innings with Dunedin to begin his pro career. He also posted a 2.43 ERA while issuing only eight walks and holding opposing hitters to a .162 average.

Yesavage is ranked as the No. 67 prospect in all of baseball by MLB Pipeline in light of his excellent start to the year.

He holds a 1-0 record and 1.56 ERA over 17.1 innings in four starts with Vancouver.
