Grizzlies Reveals Major Injury Update On Zach Edey

The Memphis Grizzlies gave an update that surely worried fans on Wednesday.

The team announced that big man Zach Edey will miss months because of left ankle surgery.

They said that he will be re-evaluated in four months and is expected to make a full recovery.

Grizzlies fans know this means the start of the next season could be in question for Edey.

If he recovers perfectly and is in good shape in four months, that will be right around the time that the Grizzlies are starting 2025-26.

But if his recovery and rehabilitation don’t go according to plan, Memphis might be without their promising center.

During his rookie year, Edey posted 9.2 points and 8.3 rebounds.

When Edey was drafted by the Grizzlies, fans saw the upside to him, but they were also worried about his physical conditioning and health.

Just like many other big men in the league, there were concerns that he’d get banged up easily and could miss a lot of time.

Right now, the Grizzlies are attempting to paint a hopeful picture and are predicting he will be back as soon as possible.

But will they attempt to make any roster adjustments during the summer in order to give the team more support, just in case Edey remains out for a long time?

Fans will closely monitor the front office and look at every move they make.

Edey has the chance to be a vital part of the Grizzlies for a very long time.

However, if injuries continue to be a problem, everything could be in jeopardy.
