The other day, reports emerged saying that the Washington Wizards are looking to move Marcus Smart.
Smart has been in the league for a long time and could bring experience and expertise to any team.
Who has the best chance of acquiring him?
According to Bovada, per NBACentral, the Sacramento Kings currently have the strongest chance of getting Smart.
They have +150 odds, followed by the Los Angeles Lakers with +200, the Memphis Grizzlies with +285, the Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat with +525, and the Toronto Raptors with +950.
However, those odds don’t tell the whole story.

According to the recent reports, the Wizards are having a tough time finding suitable trade partners for Smart because most teams aren’t interested in him.
So, while there are multiple squads apparently in the mix for Smart, it doesn’t look like any of them are leaping at the chance to sign him.
They may need some convincing, and it’s not clear how the Wizards will do that.
Last season, Smart averaged 9.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, playing for both the Memphis Grizzlies and the Wizards.
It’s been years since Smart has been the sort of consistent and powerful star who once won Defensive Player of the Year, but he still has fight in him and could be a good fit for a team, if the price is right.
Each of the teams above would love help on the backcourt, and Smart could provide that.
But no one is going to put up a lot for Smart, so the Wizards will have to be persistent and perhaps creative.
