LeBron James Has Honest Admission About Retirement

LeBron James is 40 years old, which has many people wondering how much longer he will be with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite his age, he is doing great work on the court and remains a vital part of his team.

Still, retirement has to be on the horizon, right?

Speaking to AP, James opened up about what his family tells him about his career.

According to James, they support him in playing and continuing to chase his dream.

“My kids are like ‘Dad, continue your dream. This is your dream. You’ve been here for us this whole time.’… when you have that type of support, it makes it a lot easier,” James said, via Legion Hoops.

James is already the oldest player in the league, and he will be 41 just months into the new season.

During his 21st year in the NBA, James posted an average of 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists.

The Lakers’ future may belong to Luka Doncic, but James is still a vital part of their present and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon.

It would be one thing if he were constantly hurt or his numbers were dropping

But he appeared in 70 games last season, and his stats were actually better than the year before in some ways.

James is pushing himself and his body to limits others never thought possible.

Most people still assume that James only has a couple more seasons left in him, and the thoughts are about how well he can play until he retires.

Is there a chance he is still putting up gigantic numbers even when he is hanging up his jersey?

This isn’t just his career, it’s his dream, and James is going to keep fighting for it.
