The Dallas Mavericks have plenty to be excited about now that they have the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA draft, but they are still facing troubles.
Most notably, they will be without Kyrie Irving for the foreseeable future because of his injury.
Because of that, they are looking for a replacement until he is healed.
According to MFFL, the Mavericks are targeting Malcolm Brogdon, Collin Sexton, Lonzo Ball, Chris Paul, and Jrue Holiday in their hunt for a point guard.
Who makes the most sense for the Mavericks?

Any of these players would be good additions for the Mavericks, and they could help them for a long time.
Even when Irving is back, these point guards would be able to produce a lot for Dallas.
Paul seems like a really great fit because he will come with a relatively inexpensive contract, and he has plenty of experience.
That experience will help his teammates, including incoming rookie Cooper Flagg.
Holiday has produced a ton for the Boston Celtics, and he could be a long-time fixture in Dallas.
There are questions about Ball and his health, but he could also come with a cheap contract.
The Mavericks have a few options, which is good because they are hoping to start the season with a bang.
Just a few months ago, it felt like all hope was lost for Dallas, but things may be turning around with the arrival of Flagg.
The Mavericks want to give their fans something to cheer about again at the start of 2025-26, which means this search for a new point guard is crucial.
