C.J. Stroud Had Honest Admission About His Advice To Caleb Williams

The Houston Texans will look to bounce back after a somewhat disappointing season.

Of course, they still made the playoffs, but with the sky-high expectations they had, it felt like they fell short.

That was particularly the case with C.J. Stroud, who struggled and seemed to regress in his second season after taking the league by storm as a rookie.

Notably, that led to a running joke online, as Stroud seemingly tried to give Caleb Williams a piece of advice after beating the Chicago Bears, and Williams didn’t look interested in anything he had to say.

That’s why, when jokingly asked whether he had any other advice for Williams ahead of his second year in the league, Stroud laughed it off and admitted that Williams might not like to hear anything about it (via Texans Jacob):

“I don’t know if Caleb [Williams] likes my advice,” Stroud said when asked what his advice would be for Williams heading into his second year.

Stroud has repeatedly addressed that incident, stating that he wasn’t trying to look down on him or baby him; he just wanted to share his thoughts and encourage him to be as good as he can be.

Stroud is only one month older than Williams.

Then again, he had already been through what Williams was going through.

He was the No. 2 pick and had to deal with criticism and expectations, and with one year of experience under his belt, he certainly had some valuable things to say to a fellow youngster.

Still, the internet never sleeps or forgets, and chances are that they will never be able to move on from that awkward exchange from last season.
