Aaron Rodgers Reveals His Honest Thoughts About Mike Tomlin

For years, Mike Tomlin has built a reputation for being a players’ coach and one of the savviest coaches in the National Football League.

He’s earned plenty of respect all over the league, not just in his own locker room.

That’s why Aaron Rodgers was looking forward to the opportunity of joining forces with him.

Talking on “The Pat McAfee Show,” the legendary quarterback acknowledged that he was building a strong bond with his new head coach.

There have been rumblings about Tomlin’s job security with the Steelers.

Nevertheless, his players have always come to his defense, with T.J. Watt even going as far as to say that he would request a trade if the team fired Tomlin a couple of years ago.

However, as good a coach as he is, it’s been a long time since the Steelers were a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

It’s been almost a decade since they last won a playoff game, and nearly two since they made it to the last game of the season.

Tomlin has yet to have a losing season in his long tenure with the organization, and that’s a remarkable accomplishment.

Still, the Steelers are one of the most historic franchises in professional sports, and just making the playoffs isn’t good enough.

Rodgers and his Green Bay Packers beat Tomlin’s Steelers in the Super Bowl, so teaming up to hoist the Vince Lombardi trophy again would be full circle and poetic.

Unfortunately, they might not have as big a chance as they would’ve had ten years ago.
