Pittsburgh Steelers fans had mixed reviews when they heard that their favorite team acquired Aaron Rodgers.
On one hand, Rodgers has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL over the past decade, but on the other hand, his recent performances have left something to be desired.
He was injured for all but a few plays of the 2023 season, and his numbers in 2024 weren’t what we’ve come to expect from the four-time MVP.
Things could be different this year with a coach like Mike Tomlin, and with the solid reports out of training camp, it seems like Rodgers might be turning back the clock for one final season.
Only time will tell what he’ll be able to accomplish, but it seems like he’s in the right mindset to give it his best shot.
Rodgers said as much in a recent appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show,” indicating that he wants to give back to the game by being something of a mentor to his new teammates.
“I want to pass on everything that I’ve learned to these guys,” Rodgers said.

This is a contrast from his final seasons in Green Bay, as it seemed that Rodgers wasn’t interested in being that kind of veteran; rather, he just focused on his role as the starting quarterback.
Perhaps the free-thinker has turned over a new leaf, as these comments seem encouraging, at the very least, to young players who are looking to learn from one of the best.
