As per the Cosmopolitan report, the sequel takes place over 15 years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale. Also, it follows the journey of Agnes, Daisy, and Aunt Lydia. They will look for allies, along with a new generation of young women. Together, they will fight for freedom in the dystopian Gilead.
At the same time, the creators promised a new feel to the show because of the younger characters. Similarly, they said they tried to make a different show despite continuing threads.
