Report: Rockets deal Cam Whitmore to Wizards for two second-round picks

The Athletic‘s Josh Robbins added that the picks are in 2026 and 2029.

Whitmore, 20, is entering his third season in the NBA after being selected with the 20th pick in the 2023 draft.

He burst onto the scene as a rookie, averaging 12.3 points and 18.7 minutes a night in only 47 games. The Villanova University product’s role reduced slightly last season with Houston, averaging just over 16 minutes and 9.4 points.

However, Whitmore averaged 0.46 points per touch, ranking fourth-best among players to record at least 1,000 touches.

In his five career starts, the forward averaged 20.2 points and 6.8 rebounds while shooting 46.9 per cent from three.
