Nick Wright Believes 1 Steelers Player Is ‘Replaceable’

The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired one of the best cornerbacks in the league.

Even in this day and age, Jalen Ramsey is the kind of defensive back who can move the needle for a team.

On top of that, they also added another strong pass-catcher and blocker in Jonnu Smith.

Nevertheless, as much as some fans are hyped up for the addition of Smith, Nick Wright doesn’t see their vision just yet.

In the latest edition of FOX Sports’ ‘First Things First,’ the controversial pundit claimed that he just didn’t value Smith as much as other people, going as far as to say that he was a ‘replaceable player:’

“I guess I do not value Jonnu Smith maybe the way you guys do. I think that Jonnu Smith is a replaceable player. Guys like Jonnu Smith are not needle-movers in an offense,” Wright said.

Truth be told, Smith has yet to prove that he can be a difference-maker on a weekly basis in this league.

Then again, he’s had some big games, and he should be featured more often in the passing game, now that he’s not sharing the field with the likes of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Potential-wise, the Steelers added another big-bodied pass-catcher who can wreak havoc in the open field, and now that they have a future first-ballot Hall of Famer behind center, all additions to the passing game are more than welcome.

To say that he will be the move that gets this team over the top might be speculation and wishful thinking.

Still, only time will tell who won this trade, but the early results suggest that Omar Khan and the Steelers are the winners.
