Former Player Predicts Which QB Will Make ‘Biggest Jump’ In 2025

The Chicago Bears entered the 2025 offseason with one clear mission: building the perfect environment for their franchise quarterback to flourish.

After Caleb Williams showed flashes of brilliance during his rookie campaign, the organization went all-in on surrounding their young signal-caller with the tools needed for success.

Former Bears linebacker Manti Te’o recently shared his bold prediction about Williams’ upcoming season.

“Caleb Williams, in my opinion, will have the biggest jump,” Te’o said on Good Morning Football.

Despite being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Williams dealt with relentless pressure, questionable coaching decisions in crucial moments, and teammates showing lapses in effort mid-play.

The chaos surrounding him made his raw talent even more impressive as his improvisation, arm strength, and natural instincts consistently stood out.

Te’o highlighted the impact of pairing Williams with Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator who transformed Jared Goff’s career in Detroit.

Under Johnson’s guidance, Goff never threw for fewer than 4,000 yards in a season.

When that level of scheme meets a dynamic young quarterback like Williams, the ceiling shifts dramatically. That combination doesn’t just promise potential but demands attention from the entire league.

The Bears made substantial moves to protect their investment, completely reshaping their offensive line.

Williams enters the season surrounded by serious offensive talent including DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Luther Burden, Cole Kmet, and rookie tight end Colston Loveland.

After throwing for 3,541 yards with 20 touchdowns and just six interceptions as a rookie, Williams faces the pressure of rewriting franchise quarterback history and leading Chicago back to the postseason for the first time since 2020.
