Picking in the top 10 for the first time since 2020, the Toronto Blue Jays have a chance to add elite talent to the top of their farm system.
Although Toronto doesn’t have a second-round pick due to the off-season signing of Anthony Santander, it will still make 19 picks in the 2025 MLB Draft in search of future big-league contributors.
As the Blue Jays make their way through the 20-round draft, stay tuned to Sportsnet.ca for updates on each of Toronto’s picks, starting with first-round pick JoJo Parker.
8. JoJo Parker

Bats: Left | Throws: Right
School: Purvis HS (Miss.)
81. Jake Cook
Round: 3
Position: OF | Age: 22
Bats: Left | Throws: Left

A six-foot-three converted centre fielder with speed to burn, Cook emerged as Southern Miss’ leadoff hitter in 2025 and posted a .905 OPS while walking more than he struck out.
112. Micah Bucknam
Round: 4

The Blue Jays draft the Canadian-raised right-hander for the second time — after he chose to go to LSU rather than turn pro in 2021 — following a strong 2025 season at Dallas Baptist that saw him strike out 80 batters in 62.1 innings.
