For Trollano, it was all about shaking off his cold spell from the previous game and building momentum to even the series.

“I work on my game. That’s just where my confidence comes from,” said Trollano. “Even if I miss 20, I’m still going to shoot. Whatever happens when I’m inside, my coaches give me the trust so I should just repay that.”

Trollano spearheaded the win with 22 points and six rebounds on a red-hot 62.5 percent shooting night.

TNT may not have expected Trollano’s timely explosion, but coach Leo Austria certainly did.

“He’s very steady from the start of the second quarter, and with his body language, you can see he wants to win,” said the veteran tactician. “Tonight, you saw how serious he was and that’s a sign of how much he wants to win.”

Trollano and the Beermen hope to take the pivotal 2-1 lead in Game 3 of the series this Friday, still inside the Big Dome in Araneta, Cubao.
