Blood Orange Announces New Album ‘Essex Honey’ Featuring Lorde, Caroline Polachek, Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, and More


Dev Hynes has announced his first Blood Orange album since 2018’s Negro Swan. It’s called Essex Honey, and it’s out August 29 via RCA. In addition to the previously released single ‘The Field’, which made our best songs of June list, the record features contributinos from Lorde, Caroline Polachek, Daniel Caesar, Mustafa, Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, Tariq Al-Sabir, Ian Isiah, Tirzah, Eva Tolkin, Wet singer Kelly Zutrau, Liam Benzvi, Amandla Stenberg, Naomi Scott, and author Zadie Smith.

To mark the announcement, Hynes has released two new singles: the gorgeously funky ‘Somewhere in Between’, and ‘Mind Loaded’, a mesmerizing track that boasts vocals from Lorde, Caroline Polachek, and Mustafa. Take a listen below.
