LAS VEGAS–If it were up to Sean Gibbons, Manny Pacquiao’s next fight would be against either Rolly Romero or Gervonta Davis.
All signs may point to a rematch between Pacquiao and WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios after the two battled to a majority draw Saturday night. Both are expressing their interest in running it back.

But Gibbons, Pacquiao’s right-hand man and president of MP Promotions, thinks the Filipino legend should move on to a different opponent.
“Manny Pacquiao beats Mario Barrios. What’s the need to fight him again? If Manny wants to fight again, there’s fighters like Rolly Romero, there’s fighters like Gervonta Davis,” said Gibbons, who was “disgusted” and felt Pacquiao was “robbed” against Barrios.
“Rolly Romero would be an unbelievably fun fight. Rolly Romero just beat Ryan Garcia, Rolly Romero and Manny Pacquiao would be a hell of a promotion.”

The 29-year-old Romero currently owns the WBA (regular) welterweight belt after beating Ryan Garcia by unanimous decision last May.
Davis, meanwhile, is the WBA champion at 135 pounds and last fought Lamont Roach in a bout that ended by majority draw four months ago.
“Not a knock on Barrios, I like him, I like everybody around him but he doesn’t move the needle. He’s just a nice person. Nobody wants to see a nice person. You need a Rolly Romero, you need a Gervonta Davis,” said Gibbons.
“Maybe it’s Gervonta Davis that could happen and for once in his life Manny is actually going to be bigger than his opponent size-wise. So those are the real names out there. Rolly Romero and Gervonta Davis.”
Gibbons said Pacquiao’s next fight could be set for late November or early December this year.
