Analyst Predicts Patriots Rookie Will Have ‘Big Role’ This Season

The New England Patriots gave their fans something to be excited about last season with the emergence of rookie quarterback Drake Maye.

This offseason, New England overhauled its roster and the coaching staff in an effort to move on from last season’s debacle, and that includes bringing in another exciting rookie who one analyst believes will have a major role this season.

“[TreVeyon] Henderson is going to have a big, big role in this offense. … I wouldn’t be surprised if he was top three or four on team in receptions,” Taylor Kyles of Patriots on CLNS said.

New England’s offense had no explosive playmakers in 2024, which is why the Patriots selected Henderson in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

He scored 42 rushing touchdowns in four seasons at Ohio State and will step into a significant spot in the Patriots’ offense, potentially pushing his way into being the RB1 over Rhamondre Stevenson.

Henderson had 11 plays of more than 50 yards in college, and New England’s offense did not have a scrimmage play of 50 yards all season.

He should be fed relentlessly in this offense, and signs are pointing to that happening.
