The two sides in the lone arbitration case remaining in the NHL have set their numbers.
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Friday that Robertson set his value for the case at $1.2 million, while the team settled at $2.25 million.
The Leafs and Robertson can still settle their arbitration case at any point before the hearing begins. If a case goes to a hearing, the player is only eligible to sign a one- or two-year contract.
Robertson, 23, had a career-high 15 goals in 69 games for Toronto last season. He dressed in just three of the Maple Leafs’ playoff games and recorded one goal and one assist.
The Maple Leafs forward, who is the younger brother of Dallas Stars sniper Jason Robertson, was drafted by Toronto in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
In 156 career NHL games with the Leafs over five seasons, Nick Robertson has 32 goals and 24 assists.
