There were two significant weight misses Friday at the official weigh-in for UFC Fight Night: Taira vs. Park.

Rafael Estevam was over the flyweight limit for his matchup with Felipe Bunes, and Tresean Gore was above the limit ahead of his scheduled middleweight bout with Rodolfo Vieira.

All fighters competing in non-title matchups are granted a one-pound allowance, so the flyweight limit is 126 pounds and the middleweight limit is 186 pounds.

Estevam missed by four pounds, stepping on the scale at 130 pounds. The 28-year-old from Brazil is 13-0 in professional mixed martial arts.

Gore missed by 3.5 pounds, weighing 189.5 pounds. The 31-year-old American had never previously missed weight.

According to Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting, both Estevam and Gore will be fined 25 per cent of their purse and their fights will proceed as catchweight bouts.

All other fighters scheduled to compete Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas successfully made weight on their first attempt, including flyweight headliners Tatsuro Taira and Hyun Sung Park.
