Cam Ward is one of the least-discussed No. 1 overall picks in recent memory, and from what fans are learning about him so far, he might prefer it that way.
The new Tennessee Titans franchise quarterback is all business, and he recently opened up about his mentality and work ethic.
“I grew up watching my dad wake up at 4:30 for a job he didnt like, so if I can’t wake up early and work hard at a job I do like, I shouldn’t be playing football,” Ward said, via Dov Kleiman.

Ward is a thoughtful and open interview and has shown character and leadership, so Titans fans should have nothing to worry about behind the scenes.
He has checked every box since arriving in the 2025 NFL Draft, and that is exactly what you want out of a young player, especially a quarterback.
He is pushing everyone around him to be better and doing everything in his power to establish a winning culture, which is important for a franchise that has been in quarterback limbo.
Ward may not get the headlines that many top picks do, but it’s clear that’s the last thing he cares about.
The work will speak for itself, and Titans fans have to be ecstatic about what the future has in store now that Ward is on board.
